The seminar is designed for individuals with blood sugar fluctuations, insulin
resistance, prediabetes or type 2 diabetes, metabolic syndrome, unexplained fatigue,
weight gain, as well as anyone who wants to proactively improve metabolic health.
Healthcare professionals are explicitly welcome to participate.
Do I need prior medical knowledge?
No. All concepts are explained clearly and practically. The seminar is suitable for
both non-medical participants and healthcare professionals.
Which glucose sensor is used in the seminar?
The seminar uses the FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus continuous glucose monitoring system
by Abbott.
What is the FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus?
The FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus is a small, discreet sensor worn on the upper arm. It
continuously measures glucose levels in the interstitial fluid and transmits glucose
values in real time to a compatible smartphone.
How long does the sensor last?
One sensor measures glucose continuously for up to 15 days.
Do I need to scan the sensor?
No. The FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus automatically transmits glucose data via Bluetooth.
Manual scanning is not required.
Is finger-prick blood testing required?
No routine finger-prick measurements are required during normal use.
Which smartphones are compatible?
One sensor measures glucose continuously for up to 15 days.
How long does the sensor last?
The FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus works with compatible iOS and Android smartphones
using the official FreeStyle Libre app. Compatibility can be checked on Abbott’s
official website.
Is the sensor painful to apply?
Most users report minimal to no discomfort during application. The sensor filament is
very thin and designed for everyday comfort.
Can I shower with the sensor?
Yes. Showering is possible while wearing the sensor.
Can I do sports with the sensor?
Yes. Normal physical activity and sports are possible.
Swimming may increase the risk of the sensor loosening, especially with longer water
exposure or strong friction
Do you recommend additional fixation of the sensor?
Yes. We recommend using an additional plaster or overlay patch over the sensor to
increase durability, especially during sports, sweating, or water exposure.
How is the seminar structured?
The seminar combines:

At the moment, the seminars are available only in German.

No. This seminar is educational and preventive in nature. It does not replace medical

Can I participate if I have diabetes?
Participation may be possible. Individuals with diabetes or those using glucoselowering medication should consult their healthcare provider before participating.

Can I repeat glucose measurements after the seminar?
